E2PM completed an intensive-level historic architectural survey of the proposed Estate Area Historic District in the Township of Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey.
The purpose of the survey is to document the properties within this section in preparation for addition to the Township’s historic resources inventory. Tasks included developing a cohesive historic context for the neighborhood, completing NJHPO intensive-level survey forms, and developing a recommendations report for the proposed district. The survey will enable the Township’s Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Historic Preservation Commission to make informed land use decisions in accordance with the municipal Master Plan, locbrunal ordinances, and the Municipal Land Use Law. This project was funded by an NPS / NJHPO CLG grant.
