Description: E2PM is growing its engineering department in Manasquan, NJ. The firm is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, organized and energetic Civil Site Engineer/Designer to assist in providing engineering design, analysis, permitting and construction support for clients throughout the Tri-State area. This position will provide experience in a wide variety of projects and the opportunity to learn from a team of experienced senior-level professional engineers. The ideal candidate would work closely with engineers to design and create base maps and drawings for projects in the residential, commercial, public works and wireless telecommunications industries. This position will require coordinating all design aspects with clients and other engineering design disciplines, managing services provided by sub-consultants on projects and providing construction support services and inspection. E2PM seeks a self-disciplined and motivated individual with the ability to manage projects independently, prioritize work assignments, be responsive, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities would include:
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of E2PM’s company drafting standards
- Managing work related to site plan development such as conceptual layouts, grading, stormwater management design and potable water and sanitary sewer design.
- Designing, preparing, and maintaining engineering civil/site drawings (including Incorporating redlines and field markups into drawings when needed)
- Preparing soil erosion and sediment control plans.
- Preparing technical calculations and design reports.
- Preparing preliminary design, schematic design and construction drawings and documents, including specifications and cost estimates, throughout the project life cycle.
- Performing Zoning Ordinance and Building Code analyses and apply the provisions of these items as they affect compliance depicted within the Construction Documents.
- Providing Project Managers with technical support and assistance.
- Coordinating administrative and technical activities with other disciplines involved on the projects.
- Assembling Site Plan and permit application packages for submission to various agencies
Requirements (education, licensing, certifications, etc.):
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering; Master’s Degree Preferred
- 5-10 Years of design experience in Site/Civil Engineering (primarily in NJ /NY)
- NJ PE License Preferred, Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification required
- Strong technical proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other civil/site development related designs.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Map 3D, Hydrology/hydraulics software packages and Microsoft Office required.
- Experience in local, county, regional and state land use development and environmental permitting regulations.
- Ability to lead design tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
