E2PM was retained as a subcontractor to assist with a NJ Department of Transportation Route 80 Rockfall Mitigation project involving implementation of various safety measures to address falling rock along a section of Interstate Route 80 located through the Delaware River Water Gap National Recreation Area in Warren County, New Jersey
E2PM’s lead environmental scientist, working as the Lead Principal Venomous Snake Surveyor, led the team that conducted two years of emergence, early basking, and gestation/birthing surveys as required by the NJDEP ENSP and the NPS. Suitable habitat located within the project corridor was systematically surveyed for the presence of Timber Rattlesnakes and Northern Copperheads. Observances of each individual snake were documented as required by both the ENSP and NPS.
