E2PM was retained by Motorola for a point-to-point two way radio project in Long Island, New York. Motorola implemented an eighteen (18) site radio communications system for a confidential utility client in Long Island, NY. Six (6) sites required new towers, one (1) site was a proposed collocation on a third-party tower and thirteen (13) sites were collocations on existing structures in Long Island or located at Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) substations.
The project consisted of providing engineering and environmental Services for eighteen (18) radio sites. The work included new radio equipment housed in new equipment shelters with LPG or NG generators, new electrical services and new radio equipment with associated UPS, antennas and cabling.
E2PM was retained to perform site investigations, site feasibility Inspections, prepare property Lease exhibits, perform surveys and geotechnical reports for new tower installations, prepare zoning plans for five (5) municipalities for regulatory approvals, prepared detailed Construction Drawings for all facilities for permitting approvals, prepared detailed structural calculations packages for all equipment that was located within LIPA properties. This was a three-year project that began in 2017 and final site construction was completed and inspected in 2020.
