Ms. Hering has more than 25 years of experience in overall project management, administering County, State and Federal grants, preparing budget proposals, preparing construction plans and specifications, coordinating with contractors and supervising construction activities. Ms. Hering earned her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Duke University and her master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Construction Management, from Georgia Institute of Technology. Ms. Hering is a licensed NJ Professional Engineer and Planner and a Certified Municipal Engineer.
With her strong leadership skills and commitment to details, Ms. Hering has been the lead senior project manager/engineer for numerous capital, utility, roadway, and drainage improvement projects in more than 15 municipalities and eight counties in New Jersey. She has served as the Borough Engineer for Metuchen, Atlantic Highlands and Leonia, and as Board Engineer in Metuchen, Atlantic Highlands, Delanco and Montgomery Township. Ms. Hering is also highly experienced in Federal, State, County and Municipal permitting procedures throughout New Jersey and coordinating projects among clients, investors, regulatory agencies and contractors. She has served as a senior construction administrator overseeing the construction of a multitude of projects, including lagoon dredging, ground and roof mounted solar panels, synthetic turf fields, pump station upgrades, bridge replacement, underground utility replacement, roadway improvements and handicap ramp replacement projects. Ms. Hering is highly skilled in many permitting procedures and has provided expert engineering and planning testimony to over 20 municipal Land Use Boards in the State of New Jersey.
