Title: Mid-Level Environmental Engineer and/or Scientist

Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Location: Rockaway, NJ 

Description: E2PM is seeking a full-time, mid-level Environmental Engineer/Scientist with knowledge in New Jersey site investigation, site remediation, environmental compliance and due diligence (Phase I Environmental Site Assessments).  This position is needed to provide direct support to Project Managers and Licensed Site Remediation Professionals within E2PM’s Environmental Division.  

This position will include:

  • Field work (soil, groundwater and air sampling).
  • Interpreting data and conducting analyses comparing to local, state and federal regulations. 
  • Calibrating, operating and maintaining field equipment.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, often on multiple tasks and projects.
  • Overseeing remedial activities.
  • Assisting in the development and completion of Work Plans, Health and Safety Plans (HASP), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), Preliminary Assessments (PA), Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Site and Remedial.
  • Providing assistance on report preparation (Site Investigations (SI/RI), Remedial Action Work Plans (RAWP), Remedial Action Reports (RAR)).
  • Coordinating field activities, ensuring quality, accuracy and completeness of project deliverables.
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals and budgets.
  • Completing work in accordance with project deadlines and budgets.
  • Maintain effective communication with Project Teams, Project Managers and Licensed Site Remediation Professions (LSRPs)

Requirements (education, licensing, certifications, etc.):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science or Engineering
  • Min. 3-5 Years of related experience (primarily in NJ)
  • Knowledge and experience with independently conducting soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • HAZWOPER OSHA 40 Hour certification and current 8-hour refresher.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, with willingness to travel as dictated by project demands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCad and/or GIS preferred, but not required.  
  • Possess a Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.
