Title: NJDEP Licensed Site Remediation Professional

Description:

E2 Project Management LLC (E2PM) is a small-business enterprise (SBE) firm based out of Rockaway and Manasquan, NJ offering multi-discipline services throughout the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania regions.  The firm offers expertise in engineering, environmental compliance, construction management, natural and cultural resource management, land surveying, land development and site planning, linear development (power and utility) and wireless telecommunications services.  E2PM’s fast-paced environmental department is seeking qualified applicants for a Full-Time, NJDEP Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP)  to work out of the Rockaway NJ office.  

Typical Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Provide final technical review and approval of project documents and key NJDEP submittals.
  • Provide technical and regulatory training and advice to firm hydrogeologists/environmental scientists.
  • Interact with operations and support departments to ensure clear communication of the technical requirements and deadlines associated with assigned client needs.
  • Provide final technical advisement on complex remedial applications (in conjunction with the professional engineer), research and development, risk assessment management, regulatory negotiations, and contract negotiation matters.
  • Play an active role in one or more NJDEP stakeholder groups.
  • Proactively identify continuous technical improvement initiatives and champion shared best practices within operations.
  • Play a major role to support Project Managers on financial aspects of assigned projects or clients to include meeting budgets, analyzing cost control efficiencies, profitability, etc.
  • Assist in development of new client relations and opportunities through contributions to major proposals and client presentations, active participation in client meetings, and overall understanding of the environmental climate.
  • Proactively identify and interpret new NJDEP guidance and regulations as well as changes to existing NJDEP guidance and regulation.
  • Attends local technical group and LSRP group meetings and actively contributes to the identification of new technical initiatives and opportunities.
  • Manage, delegate and support preparation efforts of Work Plans, Health and Safety Plans (HASP), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), Preliminary Assessments (PA), Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Site and Remedial Investigations (SI/RI), Remedial Action Work Plans (RAWP) and Remedial Action Reports (RAR).
  • Manage efforts to complete appropriate permits for remediation systems, assessment activities and construction activities.
  • Analyze analytical data to create analytical data tables, exceedance maps and electronic data deliverables.
  • Oversee field work while directing contractors with the ability to make decisions in the field.
  • Deliver high-quality work products within project deadlines and budgets
  • Communicate effectively with other Environmental staff, Project Managers, senior level management, regulators, subcontractors, and client representatives when needed.

Requirements (education, licensing, certifications, etc.):

  • 8 – 10 Years of related environmental and project management experience (primarily in NJ / NY)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Similar.
  • Active Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license required.
  • Other Professional certifications (Preferred) (i.e., LSRP, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Underground Storage Tank (UST) Certification (Preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis, site characterization, and remediation programs.
  • Excellent Project management and leadership skills with site investigations, remedial design, remediation and operation of remedial systems, due diligence etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable New Jersey state rules, regulations and legislation including, but not limited to:
    • Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (Tech Regs)
    • The Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA)
    • Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (ARRCS)
    • NJDEP Site Remediation Program Guidance Documents
    • Underground Storage of Hazardous Substance Rules
    • NJDEP field sampling procedures
  • HAZWOPER OSHA 40-Hour certification (Preferred). Other OSHA certifications a plus (i.e., OSHA 30-Hour Environmental Safety Supervisor; OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training)
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) experience (Preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to manage and multi-task on several projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis. Possess a vehicle and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
